Fitting Guidelines

SKATES

  • BAUER, CCM, Mission and EASTON Hockey Skates normally fit 1.5 sizes down from your shoe size for senior sizes. For Junior and youth sizes they fit one size down from your shoe size.
  • If you are not sure of your shoe size, take a piece of paper and trace your foot.  Measure the length and width to determine the size

HELMETS

If you don't know your helmet size, measure around your head with a tape measure. Helmets come in any range from X-small to X-large.  When you receive your helmet, loosen the screws along the side adjust properly for comfort.  The helmet should be tight enough that it is not sliding around, but not too tight where it is uncomfortable. Face masks should match helmet model and size.

GLOVES

Your fingertips should come to the end of the fingers, but they should not be too tight.  Gloves should be loose enough where they are comfortable, but not too loose where you can't get a good grip on the stick or that they are falling off your hand.

PANTS

Determining your size at home. Measure the player's waist. Check the size reference below and then select the correct size in the dropdown on the pant page. Most pants on the site also have individual sizing guidelines.

SHINGUARDS

Shinguards should go from the middle of the knee to the top of the ankle.

ELBOW PADS

When fastened securely, there should be no gap between the pad and either the biceps extension of the shoulder pad or the cuff of the glove. Players who wear a short cuff style glove should choose the longer model of elbow pad.
